Watch the original theme song and opening credits of The Legend of Korra, as part of Nickelodeon’s 25 Years of Animation celebration!

The Legend of Korra was created by Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino and premiered on April 14, 2012. A sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender, it ran for 52 episodes, and its story continues on in numerous books and graphic novels.

The build with the music its as if the creators knew that with this scene and music we would remember all of Avatar and feel it as well. Just as korra rides into her life we ride into Avatar again. The way it's a little faster than the main theme of Korra it's kind of like it's telling us get ready and Welcome back.
